RO + EDI water purification Process

The RO+EDI water purification process begins with pre-treatment, where water undergoes initial filtration to remove large particles, sediment, and chlorine using multimedia and activated carbon filters.

Reverse Osmosis (RO):

Next, the water passes through semi-permeable reverse osmosis (RO) membranes under high pressure, eliminating up to 99% of dissolved salts, organic materials, and other Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). RO is effective at removing a wide range of contaminants and reducing the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in the water.

Electrodeionization (EDI):

The purified water then enters the electrodeionization (EDI) module, where it flows through ion-exchange resins positioned between ion-selective membranes. An electric field applied across these membranes drives remaining ions towards their respective electrodes, continuously removing them from the resin bed without the need for chemical regenerants. This results in highly purified water.
